Stick with Canon Inks
I currently have a Canon i960, but I’ve learned over the years never substitute generic inks no matter what the advertisement says.

Best for Canon printers
This ink works great with Canon printer. Unfortunately this is the ONLY ink that works great with a canon printer. Any other ink I tried produce terrible result.

I agree with the other reviews…you MUST use Canon ink with the i9900 printer. Twice I tried to use other ink and had to replace my print head both times…not worth it!

Use OEM ink if you are going to pring photos
Canon original Magenta ink is a must if you plan on printing your own photos from a Canon photo printer. I’ve tried generics and they red hue is too strong.

Be careful
I ordered BCI-6M magenta for my Canon Pixma iP 4000. Amazon sent BCI-6PM Photo Magenta instead. It looks identical and fits in the printer but it will not work in this model…
